Ferran Torres’ Champions League debut hat-trick turned Paris Saint Germain’s opening League Stage night into a statement, with Slovan Bratislava overwhelmed 6-1 at Parc des Princes. Ousmane Dembélé set the early pace, scoring twice and creating two more as the home side raced to the top of the standings.
Dembélé breaks Slovan resistance
Dembélé opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Nuno Mendes’ swerving long-range drive struck the post and the forward converted the rebound inside the right post. Six minutes later, he doubled the lead with a back-post header after Dro Fernández’s cross deflected into his path.
Paris Saint Germain had their third by the 31st minute. Dembélé drove a low ball across the six-yard area and Torres poked it home, sending the hosts into half-time with a 3-0 lead and Slovan already facing a daunting recovery.
Torres turns control into a debut landmark
Torres made it four two minutes after the restart, curling an edge-of-the-box effort into the top-right corner after Maghnes Akliouche’s solo run. His third arrived in the 57th minute, when he turned in Dembélé’s quick corner to complete a memorable European debut for Paris Saint Germain.
